our story
When Josiah Katumu arrived at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) Orlando in July 2008, he was not sure why God was calling him to seminary. After a lot of prayer and confiding in friends he felt a deep sense of concern for the Church back in Kenya (where he wants to go back to serve the Lord) which is in dire need of resources. He had a long talk with his pastor and friend Rev. Jim Fitzgerald (EPI), that is when he felt God`s call so clear in his heart and mind to provide resources for many pastors in Kenya as well as disciple young people who thirst and hunger for the true gospel of Christ.

Josiah began praying and asking God for wisdom on how to go about this, at first it was not clear what exactly he would do to provide resources, then the idea of a library came to his mind and he really liked it. The challenge however, was how the library would be sustained? A coffee shop and a bookstore seemed to be a viable and attainable solution, as there are not many coffee bars in Kenya.

Josiah needed people to come on board if this project was to succeed, so he decided to share the vision with a few close friends and that is how Lloyd and Coo Dawson, David Rogers, Jim Fitzgerald, Ken Aull, and Arnold Rombe became part of this project.
